The destruction is superficial, and this would be fine if it at least looked good, but it doesn't. I love previous Bugbear games and i'm willing to give this game more time to see if it clicks with me. Oh yeah, then you stop dead when you hit something you thought you could, but cannot drive through. I know it's frustrating to lose momentum but it's strange to drive through cement pillars to only have it explode like styrofoam, all the while your speed never drops. The tracks all look the same! Did Bugbear use the level creator to make the tracks? Cause it looks like they did. Flatout too, required more effort to take down opponents, and when you did, it was rewarding. I popped in Burnout 3 to see if my memory was deceiving me, but no, you had to shunt, grind and ram opponents to take them down, it was a fight. A light touch while boosting takes down opponents with ease. It feels like a budget mish-mash of concepts from other racers, yet not as good as any of them individually. I've been looking forward to this since the initial trailer, but so far i'm disappointed.
